Atari 2600 Soccer

Overview

The development of this game began on the AtariAge message boards when a user, Retrofan, posted that the Atari 2600 needed a better soccer game, and made several mockups of what a soccer game might look like.

Haroldo Pinheiro took Retrofan up on his idea, and with the suggestions and help of board members developed the game over the next couple months, before finally leaving the project and posting the assembly code.

13 years later Andrew Davie picked the project up and made several fixes and improvements. Davie ultimately left the game unfinished, hoping that Pinheiro would return and finish the game as he originally envisioned.

The game is actually a video game simulation of Fuseball, not Soccer.
